How did you get your start as an actor?
I’ve wanted to act since I was very little. I finally took my first acting class when I was 8 years old and haven’t stopped acting since.
Do you have any upcoming projects?
I have a voiceover project coming up that I can’t say much about, but that’s an exciting one. Besides that I’m just auditioning and crossing my fingers at the moment.
What is it like being related to Idina Menzel?
It’s pretty cool. It can be stressful at times because I feel like I have so much to live up to since we are in the same industry. We aren’t that close, but every time I do see her we get along quite well and she always offers me advice.
What is your favorite part about going to college in NYC?
I love being where the action is. So many projects film in NYC and being here gives me so many more opportunities for auditions. I also love city life in general so it is pretty fun.
How do you prepare for upcoming roles?
I always make sure I do my research. I read the entire script, create a background for my character, and talk to the director and writer about their visions. It is very important to me that I represent each character I play fully.
What was the hardest project you did?
The hardest project would have to be the short film I directed, wrote, produced, and starred in last year called Maybe Tomorrow Will Be Better. I had never worked on the technical side of things before doing this project so it definitely was a lot of work and took a lot of time. This role was also very real and vulnerable for me since it was based on my real life experiences. Overall, I loved working on this project though because it meant so much to me. It was definitely a lot of work though.
Do you have a dream person to work with? T
here are so many actors I would love to work with. I have a list that’s like 50 people long! Some of my top ones definitely are Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Emma Watson, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Kendrick, & Emily Blunt. There are so many others though.
