Navigating the World: Tips and Tricks from a Certified Travel Advisor with Isabelle Aurora Kieft!

As a certified travel advisor with FORA Travel, I go by the name Itineraries by Isabelle. My journey into the world of travel planning started with a passion for exploration and creating unforgettable experiences. From organizing trips for my loved ones to now specializing professionally, travel has always been my calling.I’ve been incredibly fortunate to explore the world far and wide, soaking in the cultures, sights, and tastes that make each destination unique. Now, I’m excited to share my love of travel with all of my clients, helping them discover new adventures and create cherished memories. On top of that, I’m diving into a new adventure myself at FSU, pursuing my passions in Vocal Performance and Hospitality studies (yes, aiming for a double major—because why settle for one when you can have two?). This academic journey not only enhances my understanding of hospitality dynamics but also fuels my enthusiasm for crafting extraordinary travel experiences. My new business venture isn’t just about my love for travel; it’s also a way for me to support my educational dreams and hopefully alleviate financial stress along the way. My expertise spans a wide range of destinations and adventures. While I’m known for crafting enchanting Disney vacations, I’m equally at home planning bespoke itineraries for any destination clients can dream of. Whether it’s exploring the hidden gems of Europe, diving into the thrills of Universal Studios, lounging on a sandy Caribbean beach, embarking on a luxurious cruise, or venturing anywhere else their heart desires, I’m here to make every moment special. What makes my service special? It’s all about personalized, stress-free travel planning- completely complimentary for clients! By teaming up with trusted travel partners, I ensure every journey is meticulously planned to exceed expectations.

Can you tell us about your journey into becoming a certified travel advisor with FORA Travel and how you got the name "Itineraries by Isabelle"?

"Absolutely! My journey into the world of travel planning started with a passion for exploration and creating unforgettable experiences. From organizing trips for my loved ones to now specializing professionally, travel has always been my calling. When I was eleven, I planned a cross-country trip from San Francisco to New York City with my grandmother , managing everything from hotels to activities and everything in between. The name “Itineraries by Isabelle” came naturally, reflecting my personal touch and dedication to crafting detailed, personalized travel plans for my clients. I chose this name because I am committed to serving in the whole process and making every part of my clients’ vacations stress-free, not just handling hotel accommodations. While many agents charge a planning fee for such comprehensive services, I make it complimentary!"

What sparked your passion for travel planning and creating unforgettable experiences for others?

"I’ve been incredibly fortunate to explore many destinations, not only in the US but also in Europe, the Caribbean, and beyond. My passion for travel planning was ignited by my love for discovering new places and creating memorable experiences for others. I realized how much joy I found in planning and sharing adventures, which naturally led me to turn this passion into a profession. The joy and excitement I see in my clients when they experience their dream vacations inspire me to continue creating unforgettable experiences for them."

How has your personal experience of organizing trips for your loved ones influenced your professional specialization in travel planning?

"Organizing trips for my family and friends allowed me to understand the importance of personalized experiences. These trips taught me to pay attention to details and individual preferences, which is crucial in travel planning. My journey began with helping plan Disney vacations, where I fell in love with creating magical memories for families. This hands-on experience has been particularly rewarding and is a key area where I truly shine. My specialization in creating tailor-made itineraries, stems from these personal experiences where every trip was unique and special."

How do you think your academic journey in hospitality dynamics and Vocal Performance has influenced your passion for crafting extraordinary travel experiences?

"I’m diving into a new adventure at Florida State University, pursuing a dual track in Vocal Performance and Hospitality studies. This academic journey not only enhances my understanding of hospitality dynamics but also fuels my enthusiasm for crafting extraordinary travel experiences. Balancing things can be tough, but both are equally important to me. I achieve this balance by planning my daily schedules meticulously and always leaving a little wiggle room in case one area needs more love and attention that day. Pursuing the arts is important, and my two greatest passions are travel and music. Being an artist is challenging, and I think these careers go hand in hand. My goal is to travel the world sharing music and my travel experiences to inspire clients toward incredible vacations."

How do you balance being a student & your work as a travel advisor?

"Balancing my studies and work as a travel advisor requires a focus on time management and a true passion for both. I prioritize my tasks and make sure to stay organized ensuring I give my best in both areas. This balance is sustained by my love for learning and my dedication to providing the best travel experiences for my clients."

How do you stay inspired and continue to fuel your passion for travel and creating cherished memories for your clients?

"Staying inspired comes naturally through my own travels and the joy of discovering new destinations. Each client’s unique travel story also fuels my passion, as I get to be part of creating cherished memories for them. Engaging with travel communities and continuously learning about new trends and destinations keeps my enthusiasm alive. Through my involvement with CISV, an organization that has gifted me incredible friends from around the world, I have built a global network that provides insider knowledge and special opportunities for my clients. These friends travel all over, exploring their countries, continents, and beyond, allowing me to discover new destinations every day that clients may not even know about. Leveraging this network, my plans are able to include insider scoops and special touches that make my clients’ journeys truly unforgettable. Crafting incredible itineraries for my clients and watching them make lifelong memories means the absolute world to me and reminds me why I do what I do."

What exciting projects or destinations do you have in store for the future?

"I don’t have any specific travel plans for the future as I’ll soon be heading to college. However, I am squeezing in as much time at the Disney Parks before I go! In my work, I am working towards my advanced certification, learning and growing each day in additional training and in building my relationships in this industry so I can continue to serve my clients with the greatest level of expertise possible!"
