I was born during the time the BeeGees and Madonna were big and my father was Dutch and my mother was a stern Hungarian mother and I also had 6 siblings, but I was the youngest one in the family who enjoyed music and singing my favourite songs around the house, such as my Sesame Street album when I was 7. I remember singing musical numbers and BeeGees at such a young age, that I went to highschool and college as part of a singing Gospel group and eventually got a Computer programming diploma, but loved music and acting and went into Art and film. I'm a passionate music enthusiast and now the creative force behind the podcast, ONSTAGE MUSIC PODCAST. With an unyielding love for music, I dedicate my time to sharing in-depth interviews, captivating stories, and insights from some of the most talented musicians and industry professionals. Through my work, I aim to inspire, educate, and entertain listeners who share my passion for music. Tune in to the ONSTAGE MUSIC PODCAST to get a behind-the-scenes look at the lives and careers of your favorite artists and discover new talents in the ever-evolving world of music.
What inspired you to start ONSTAGE Music podcast?
"Well, that's a great question that I get asked a lot. It all started during the time of the pandemic when we all 'stopped' doing things with others and had to social distance from each other and it was during the summer of 2021 when I had started a course called 'EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION' with Brodie Church (Yes, that's his name) and he really taught the proper way to speak to people, how to communicate to others in a professional way! I learned so much that it still lingered in my mind 'We're social distancing from people, how is communicating with people going to work?" So, I thought maybe I should start a podcast (I rolled my eyes, YEAH RIGHT! I HATE PODCASTS!), but then I thought maybe I should? So, I messaged my singing and musical theatre acting partner friend Kelsie and she agreed to be my first interview and ... IT WAS A SUCCESS and then I messaged my favourite Soprano Lucy Kay and 'ONSTAGE' podcast was born and now after 2 years, I have a co-host (a wonderful and amazing podcaster herself. Kylie Montigney), 160 episodes, more than 500 subscribers and 60000 views!! I LOVE IT! "
What type of people do you interview?
"I interview anyone in the entertainment industry, which includes musicians."
What is your overall mission for the podcast?
"The overall mission is to provide a adult quality interview podcast and hopefully be able to bring the musician STING and my second favourite actress Nicole Kidman onto my show, as she's also a stunning and amazing singer (MOULIN ROUGE). Also, I also started the ONSTAGE Theatre Co. To bring theatre and musicals to the masses, including hopefully writing my own musical. I'd also love to do filmmaking again as I was an actor at one point and desire to perform as a Tenor again."
What is your favourite interview that you have done?
"My favorite interview was with character actress Jennifer Runyon - EPISODE 150"
How can people be a guest on the podcast?
"If you're an actor/actress or a musician and wish for an interview, please reach out to the ONSTAGE PODCAST at info@onstagecast.com."
What can people expect from the podcast in 2024?
"Hopefully a better quality system, different intros and bigger guests! Gotta keep going and never stop!"
"The hardest part about being a podcaster, is expecting guests to show up early and expect them to open up, but basically having them show up late is not more usually a struggle than those that just don't show up and ghost me, and have no explanation for that. I've learned to just appreciate who does appear on my podcast and who does reach out and I really love when I'm doing"
