What is your first memory as an actor?

"My first memory of acting was at an acting school called YADA, and I was in 'Fiddler on the Roof' when I was 3."

You are currently touring with the Broadway production of The Tina Turner Musical as Young Alline/Young Craig! How do you prepare before each show?

"I do play Alline and Craig, and how I prepare for a show is with vocal exercises, hot water with honey and lemon, and remembering whose story you’re telling. I do my own hair, which helps me get into character.”

How do you avoid burnout while on tour?

“To avoid burnout, we rotate show nights with other actors so I perform every other day, giving me a little break. So I perform four of the eight shows per week. And I remind myself that this career is what I want to do; this is what I love doing so I don’t ever really get burnt out.”

Are you a Tina Turner fan?

“I am definitely a Tina Turner fan. I always loved her music when my dads would play it but never really knew her story until I got on tour. She wasn't just a singer - she was THE singer of all. Her story is really important because we all thought she was living the good life married to Ike and singing on tour, but once you know what happened to her, you realize that this woman is a fighter who loved what she did and that’s why she never quit and became the legend we all love and admire today after all these years.”

You have a a film currently in the festival circuit called Separate. Tell us more about your role & the film?

“My role in 'Separate' is playing Me Daelyanna, and my dad plays himself Daddy Cool. It's about a young girl who has two dads, and the government decides to separate her from her family because people think all kids should have a mom AND a dad - not two moms or two dads. We are running away south of the border to the House of Opulence - a safe place - and having to lie to police by saying my Daddy Kelly is a girl. Running from the law being chased by drones... Yeah lol... good times right? It’s about the struggle and fear that LGBTQIA+ individuals have to go through every day.”

What sets this film apart from the others that you have done?

“This film is different because this situation is really happening in the world right now. It has a very important message that we are just the same as any other family - they love me, I love them; they take care of me, and that’s all that matters.”

Do you have any upcoming projects?

“I do have another project coming up but can't say much about it yet. What I can say is it's not a reboot; it's the first of its kind."
