FabuRocks- Content Creator

FABUROCKS is one of the youngest female content creators on the internet. Her "Youngest" title stretches far and wide from being the Youngest Girl Gamer on Twitch to the Youngest Variety Power of Young Hollywood Event Participant. Fabu is a wildly popular gaming content creator with partnerships secured by her much older male counterparts. In addition to her content creation, Fabu is one of the over 6 million kids who have been diagnosed with ADHD. There are only two forms of therapy for ADHD behavior and medication. Fabu and her family have elected content creation as a form of daily therapy for her ADHD, putting her in a unique position to share not only her journey as a creator on the world's most popular platforms but her experience as a neurodiverse teen dealing with ADHD.

Your “Youngest" title stretches far and wide from being the Youngest Girl Gamer on Twitch to the Youngest Variety Power of Young Hollywood Event Participant. How does it feel to get these

titles?

"Getting these "Youngest titles", from being the Youngest Girl Gamer on Twitch to the Youngest Variety Power of Young Hollywood Event Participant, feels absolutely amazing! It's like I'm living in a dream, and every day is a new adventure. Each title brings a new level of excitement and joy. It's like unlocking a new achievement in my favorite game, but in real life! I feel so proud of how far I've come. Starting from gaming as a therapy for my ADHD to reaching these milestones, it's been a wild and fulfilling ride. These titles motivate me to keep pushing my limits, to keep gaming, streaming, and just being me. They remind me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I hope my journey inspires other young gamers out there. If I can do it, so can you! Age is just a number, and your passion can take you places. I also feel a sense of responsibility to be a good role model for young gamers, especially girls in the gaming community. I want to show that gaming is for everyone."

You are one of the over 6 million kids who have been diagnosed with ADHD. Do you think content

creation has helped you with the diagnosis?

"Absolutely! Being one of the over 6 million kids diagnosed with ADHD, I've found that content creation has been what has helped me manage my diagnosis. Creating content requires a lot of focus and planning. This has helped me develop better organizational skills and a sense of structure, which can be challenging for someone with ADHD. ADHD comes with a burst of creativity, and content creation is the perfect outlet for that. It allows me to channel my energy into something productive and fun. Sharing my content and interacting with my community has boosted my self-esteem. It's empowering to know that I can create something that others enjoy. Gaming and streaming are therapy for me daily. They help me relax and manage the symptoms of ADHD, like hyperactivity and impulsiveness. Having ADHD can sometimes make social interactions tough. But through my content, I've built a supportive community where I feel accepted and understood. Every piece of content I create and every milestone I reach gives me a sense of achievement. It's a reminder that ADHD doesn't define me or limit what I can do. Content creation has been a big part of my journey with ADHD. It's not just a hobby; it's a way for me to grow, learn, and connect with others."

How have people reacted when you would share your ADHD journey?

"When I share my ADHD journey, the reactions from people have been overwhelmingly positive and supportive. Many have been incredibly encouraging, cheering me on and celebrating my achievements. I've heard from others, especially young people and parents, that my story inspires them. Knowing that I can positively impact someone else's life is truly rewarding. A lot of people, especially those with ADHD or other learning challenges, have told me they relate to my experiences. It creates a sense of community and understanding, which is so important. It's amazing how sharing your story can lead to such deep connections."

What is your favorite content to make?

"My absolute favorite content to make is a blend of gaming and ADHD-related stuff! I love diving into exciting gaming adventures, and at the same time, talking about my ADHD journey, showing how gaming helps me focus and manage my energy in a positive way. I love live gaming streams because they're super interactive and energetic! It's thrilling to share my gaming experiences in real-time, react to unexpected moments in games, and chat with my FabuFam community. This live interaction makes every stream unique and exciting, and it's amazing to feel the support and engagement from viewers who share my passion for gaming."

How do you try to gain partnerships as a content creator?

"I focus on building a strong, recognizable brand around my content. Quality is key. I ensure that my content is entertaining, engaging, and professional. In my experience, attending gaming events, conventions, and industry meet-ups is a great way to network. Meeting people face-to-face can lead to more meaningful connections and potential partnerships."

What is your goal as a content creator in 2024?

"My goal as a content creator in 2024 is to take my gaming and ADHD awareness content to the next level! I aim to grow my community by reaching more audiences and creating even more engaging, fun, and informative content. I also plan to deepen my impact by collaborating with more brands and creators who share my passion for gaming and mental health awareness. Ultimately, I want to inspire and empower more people, showing that gaming can be a positive force, especially for those with ADHD. I'm super excited to be working on my podcast," ADHD with Fabu." This podcast is a big part of my goal to deepen the conversation around ADHD, share experiences, tips, and strategies, and connect with others who are navigating similar journeys. It's all about creating a supportive space where we can learn, laugh, and grow together, one episode at a time! I'm also thrilled to be working on a 3-book series this year! These books will dive into my story as a young female content creator who uses gaming to manage my ADHD. I’m excited to share my journey in this new format, hoping to inspire and connect with readers who

might see some of their own stories in mine."

What are some of your favorite video games?

"I love a wide range of video games, but my ultimate favorites are FPS games like Apex, Fortnite,

Overwatch, and horror games like Resident Evil, Outlast, and Dead by Daylight. What many don’t know though is my guilty pleasure is playing the Sims offline on my own."

Have you received hate as a twitch streamer, if so how do you deal with it?

"Yes, like many streamers, I've faced my share of hate and negativity on Twitch whether it’s because of my age or because I’m a female playing video games. It's an unfortunate part of being in the public eye, especially online. I use Twitch's moderation tools to help manage and filter out hateful comments. Having a set of rules for my chat and moderators to enforce them is super helpful. I've learned that it's best not to engage with haters. Responding to them often just fuels the fire, so I ignore and move on. If it's just hate with no basis, I know it's not about me, but about the person sending it. I stay true to who I am. I won't change my content or who I am just because of a few negative voices."
