When it came time to choose a college, I knew I wanted more than just a great education—I wanted a place that felt like home. For me, that place has always been Penn State University. My journey to becoming a Nittany Lion didn’t just start during the college search process—it started years ago, with my family, my childhood, and every Saturday spent cheering in blue and white.
Penn State runs deep in my blood. My dad, sister, and brother are all proud alumni, and I grew up hearing their stories about campus life, game day traditions, and how Penn State helped shape who they are today. From a young age, I knew there was something special about the university—not just because of its strong academics, but because of the way it brings people together and creates lifelong bonds.
Growing up, Saturdays meant Penn State football. Whether we were driving up to State College or gathered around the TV with family and friends, the energy was electric. I remember walking through tailgates, wearing my blue and white gear, and feeling the roar of Beaver Stadium—it was more than a game, it was a tradition. Those moments cemented my love for Penn State and made it feel like home before I even applied.
I’ve always had a love for storytelling, media, and connecting with people. Penn State’s Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications is one of the best in the country for students like me who want to pursue Broadcast Journalism. With access to state-of-the-art facilities, hands-on experience, and a powerful alumni network (including family!), I know I’ll be prepared to turn my dreams into reality.
Penn State is more than just a university—it’s a family. From THON to student organizations to the support of professors and peers, there’s a true sense of community. I’ve always been passionate about giving back, leading projects like Empower Girls, organizing community events, and using my voice to inspire others. At Penn State, I’ll be surrounded by students and mentors who are just as committed to making a difference.
Choosing Penn State is my way of carrying on a family legacy while also creating my own path. It’s a place where I’ll grow, learn, and make my mark—just like my dad, sister, and brother did before me. I'm proud to continue the tradition, knowing that I’m not just joining a school—I’m joining a legacy.
We Are… 💙🤍
